Are you looking to gain experience in a Finance role? Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their growing team in Farnham!

You will be responsible for the daily management of client bank accounts while also supporting the busy and expanding Tax Client Portfolio.

This is a full time permanent position, paying a competitive salary of 24,000 with hybrid working offered after probation!

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile client accounts, accurately allocating self-assessment receipts and calculating disbursements
  • Prepare and provide invoicing data to our outsourcing partners
  • Process daily and weekly payments for Self-Assessment rebates
  • Generate and manage Self-Assessment invoices efficiently
  • Oversee credit control collections across all company products and coordinate closely with the underwriting team
  • Maintain timely and effective communication with clients via phone and email, promptly resolving any issues or queries
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and third parties
  • Adhere strictly to departmental processes and procedures, ensuring full compliance
  • Proactively identify and suggest improvements to processes and procedures to enhance standards, efficiency, and profitability

Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of accountancy and tax regulations
  • Experience in an office or accountancy environment
  • Excellent IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to navigate complex bespoke systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • High level of accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail
  • Proactive and able to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Effective and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
