Role: SEO Manager

Work Pattern: 2 Days WFH

Salary: Up to £50k

My client is an Award Winning Marketing Agency looking to expand their team with an SEO expert.

KEY SKILLS

• 3-5+ years SEO experience (agency or in-house)

• Proficiency with tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Surfer SEO or Clearscope

• Ability to explain complex SEO issues to clients via Loom or calls

• Strong project/time management for juggling multiple clients

• Bonus: copywriting, technical dev background, or experience with international SEO

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Planning

• Conduct keyword research tailored by competition level & client goals

• Build custom SEO strategies for local, regional, or global campaigns

• Set realistic KPIs (like 6-10% monthly traffic growth)

On-Page SEO

• Optimize meta titles, descriptions, headings, URLs, and content

• Ensure keyword integration aligns with user intent and SEO best practices

Technical SEO

• Run audits (site speed, crawlability, indexing, etc.)

• Work with developers or use tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush

• Fix 404s, redirects, canonical issues, etc.

Content Collaboration

• Identify content gaps & support copywriters with briefs

• Optimize blogs and landing pages for target keywords

Link Building & Off-Page SEO

• Create backlink strategies, outreach plans (especially for Vital/Power tier clients)

• Deal with broken links

Tracking & Reporting

• Set up and manage GA4, Google Search Console

• Report on traffic, rankings, and conversions monthly

Client Communication & Proof of Work

Record Loom videos to show:

• Current standing of client site, before work begins & identify areas of improvement

• Work completed (before & after)

• Tools used (e.g., keyword tracking)

• Progress against goals

• Be available for client Q&As, especially for high-tier clients

Experience in the below tools:

• SEO Suites: Ahrefs / SEMrush/ SERanking

• Content Optimization: SurferSEO / Clearscope

• Technical Audits: Screaming Frog

• Analytics: GA4, Google Search Console

• Reporting: Looker Studio or custom client decks

• Video: Loom (for client updates)
