JOB TITLE: Early Years Educator

LOCATION: Farnham

CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent Term time (39 weeks a year)

SALARY RANGE: £21,900 - £22,812.50 FTE (£19,248.26 - £20,354.55 pro-rata inc. holiday)

HOUR PER WEEK: 36 hours - Monday - Friday

ABOUT US-

Challengers is a voluntary sector organisation providing play and leisure services to disabled children and young people across Surrey, Hampshire and in Richmond, Kingston, and Chichester.

Our small and friendly Pre-school setting perfectly represent our mission to create places where all children can have fun and learn together through play. We are not a specialist SEND Pre-school setting, however we are able to provide support for children of all abilities, including disabled children and children with more complex needs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Represent and be an advocate for all Preschool children. Ensuring that each child has the same opportunities within the Preschool environment.

To attend to the educational, emotional and social needs of children in your care, as a key person making observations to inform planning and record keeping, liaising with parents, other staff, external professionals and SENCO about each childs well-being and progress as appropriate.

To assist the Preschool Manager, Deputy Manager and whole team in all aspects of care and supervision of children who attend Challengers Preschool(s).

To work co-operatively and closely with, and support all colleagues within the Preschool to ensure and maintain the safe and effective running of the Preschool Sharing and passing on relevant knowledge and skills to the team in a supportive manner.

To assist the Preschool Manager and Deputy Manager to liaise with children, parents, teachers, schools and other professional involved with the childrens care.

To assist the Preschool Team to maintain a clean, tidy, safe and secure site treating buildings, structures, toys and equipment with respect and care. All damage to buildings, structures, toys or equipment must be reported to the Preschool Manager or Deputy Manager.

Youll be great if you have:

NNEB/ NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent qualification) or above.

experience of working within the early years sector and being a key person

A passion for supporting all children to reach their full potential within an inclusive environment
