Finance Manager - About The Role

In this role you will be solely responsible for the running of the finance function and will be reporting into the company directors. You will be working in a small office team with communication between departments very key.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Full preparation and production of the monthly management accounts. Perform variance analysis and manage intercompany reconciliations.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow to support financial stability and strategic decision making.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial records in Xero, ensuring accuracy and timely balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Post all journal entries, including prepayments, accruals and depreciation.
  • Manage Credit Control and the UK payroll/HR functions.
  • Oversee VAT submissions and intercompany purchase invoices, ensuring compliance with tax and reporting obligations.
  • Lead year-end preparations, liaising with auditors and tax advisors to ensure all is compliant.

The successful Finance Manager will have:

Previous experience in a similar position

SME or sole charge experience is essential

Working experience with Xero

Ability to communicate at all levels.
