Our client, an established company in the financial services sector, is seeking an IT Assistant to join their growing team. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid and flexible working options, allowing you to balance office and remote work after successful completion of your probationary period.

IT Assistant - About The Role

As an IT Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the internal IT systems and supporting both hardware and software management. You will be the first point of contact for IT queries, assist with employee onboarding and IT inductions, and manage relationships with third-party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the internal IT helpdesk and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Managing the use of software (e.g., Microsoft) and hardware (e.g., printers), identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conducting IT inductions and training new employees on internal IT systems and tools.
  • Liaising with third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues and procure new equipment.
  • Ordering and setting up new or replacement IT equipment for employees.
  • Ensuring that technology tools, products, and documents are up to date, and communicating any changes to staff.
  • Occasional travel to other offices within the company.

The successful IT Assistant will have/be:

  • Enthusiastic about IT and keen to develop their skills further in a professional setting.
  • A self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • A minimum of 3 A Levels at grades A to C (or equivalent).
  • A university degree (2:1 or above) is desirable but not essential.
  • A strong aptitude for IT with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively in a flexible and fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A positive "can do" attitude and a desire to grow and develop professionally.
