Logistics ManagerPermanent positionGlobal manufacturer and distributor Monday – FridayJob Summary:As an Operations Logistics Manager multiple businesses within the group, this person is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of supplier orders, shipping, and logistics. They work closely with suppliers to manage inventory, oversee the supply chain process, and ensure timely delivery of products. This role is vital in maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.Logistics Manager Responsibilities Supplier Management:• Coordinate with suppliers to place orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate terms and resolve any issues.Order Processing:• Oversee the entire order process from placement to delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishments to avoid shortages.Shipping and Logistics:• Manage shipping schedules and logistics to ensure on-time delivery of products.• Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize shipping routes and methods.Quality Control:• Ensure all incoming materials meet the company’s quality standards.• Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues with orders.Data Management:• Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, and inventory.• Utilize ERP and other software systems to track and report on operational metrics.Continuous Improvement:• Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices in supply chain and logistics.• Work with the operations team to streamline procedures and enhance efficiency.Key Competencies:• Problem-solving aptitude and ability to handle complex logistics scenarios.• Strong interpersonal skills for effective supplier and team collaboration.• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.• Proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.Experience: • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations.Skills:• Strong organizational and time-management skills.• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.• Certifications: Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP) preferred.Work Environment:• Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift and move materials.• Work Conditions: Office-based with occasional visits to supplier sites and warehouses.Working hours are 10am – 6pm, with potential for some flexibility.
