Our client is a family run business established over 100 years ago, specializing in furniture and flooring. Their commitment to exceptional customer service and quality products has been the cornerstone of their success. They are currently seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join their team as a Furniture and Flooring Salesperson to work Tuesday to Saturday 9am - 16.30pm.

The Retail Sales Assistant will be involved in:

Providing exceptional customer service to clients visiting the showroom
Guiding customers through the selection and purchase process
Initiate customer interactions using the existing database and actively engage with potential customers.
Manage customer orders from sale to delivery, ensuring a seamless experience.
Manually handle heavy furniture and flooring products in the showroom, including receiving deliveries and maintaining warehouse inventory.
Collaborate with the business owner to develop effective sales strategies and promote best-selling products.
Schedule flooring measures at customer residences for our flooring estimator.
Assist with marketing and social media campaigns as needed.
Maintain accurate customer records and ensure the showroom is well-presented at all times.
Occasionally assist with customer deliveries, working alongside the delivery team.

The Retail Sales Assistant will have:

Strong customer handling skills and the ability to adapt product offerings to meet customer needs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of furniture and/or flooring sales preferred, but outstanding candidates with sales experience in other areas will be considered.
College-level education preferred
Proficiency in email, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and familiarity with e-commerce websites
Knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
