We are a nationwide organisation with over 30,000 members across the UK who are now seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our existing team of 5 due to expansion. Located at our Head Office in Farnham working as part of the Accounts team.
Paying up to£30K depending on experience, the working are 37.5 hours per week Mon to Fri with the potential for one day a week WFH once trained, with free parking, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, access to our employee benefits portal, life assurance and a friendly and professional working environment. Proven experience within an office environment working as an accounts administrator or accounts assistant and used to working as part of an accounts team across a varied accounts position.
Reporting into the Senior Financial Accountant directly, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of monthly management accounts. You will take control of the Sales Ledger and be responsible for the reconciliation of all Balance Sheet with duties listed below:

• Posting of monthly journals for Payroll, Depreciation, Prepayments & any other adjustments required.
• Responsible for the Fixed Asset Register & Schedules.
• Assist in the production of the Management Accounts for review by the Senior Financial Accountant.
• Complete all Balance Sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly Profit & Loss Schedules.
• Produce the Month End folder.
• Ownership of the Sales Ledger – raising sales invoices and liaising with internal and external staff.
• Reporting on National Statistics as & when required.
• Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of Rock Records Ltd Accounts – including all intercompany
• transactions.
• Assist in finalising the Year End accounts.
• Prepare P11d & PSA information for submission.
• Provide Accounts Payable cover when required.
• Any ad hoc duties required by the Senior Financial Accountant.
To be considered for the role of Accounts Assistant you will have previous relevant Accounts Assistant experience, have good PC skills Microsoft office, experience of working with Xero is desirable but not essential, have excellent organisational skills, be happy to work within a small team but be part of a large organisation.
