As a Geography Teacher at Farnham Heath End School, you will have the opportunity to inspire students through a broad and challenging curriculum, promoting a love of the subject and developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are vital in today’s world.

The Role:
We are seeking an outstanding Geography Teacher to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our Geography department, helping students to develop a comprehensive understanding of global issues, physical and human geography, and the skills they need to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, teach, and assess high-quality lessons in Geography across Key Stage 3 and 4.
Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that motivates students to succeed and fosters a love of Geography.
Differentiate lessons to ensure that all students, regardless of ability or background, can access and benefit from the curriculum.
Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to help all students reach their full potential.
Work collaboratively with the Geography department and other colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of a positive, respectful, and inclusive school culture.
Contribute to extracurricular activities, including field trips, geography clubs, and other learning opportunities outside the classroom.
Participate in professional development opportunities and stay up to date with developments in Geography education.

About You:

A qualified Geography Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
Passionate about Geography and education, with a desire to inspire students to develop a lifelong interest in the subject.
Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 teaching experience is desirable but not essential).
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
A proactive approach to teaching, with a commitment to delivering lessons that are both academically rigorous and enjoyable.
A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to enhance your teaching practice.
