Senior / Principal Structural Engineer – Leeds - Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a Senior / Principal Structural Engineer to join a dynamic team of specialists in Leeds. About the Role
As a Senior / Principal Structural Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across various sectors. From managing projects independently to leading and mentoring junior engineers and technicians, this position offers the chance to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking organisation.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis and design of building structures using advanced software for all structural materials.
  • Manage and co-ordinate projects, attending meetings with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the delivery of structures, drainage, and highways elements of projects within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and manage design delivery programmes.
  • Supervise CAD/Revit technicians, ensuring designs meet project requirements.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct site visits and attend site meetings to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support internal and external design meetings with clients and design team members.

What You’ll Need
Qualifications:

  • Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered or Incorporated status with IStructE or ICE (or working towards it).

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven ability to deliver projects through to completion.
  • Strong experience in structural design and analysis using software such as TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, Fastrack Portal Frame, CADS Wall Panel, P Frame, and MasterSeries Retaining Wall.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, clients, and external teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant building regulations and design standards.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
