We are inviting a proficient Bookkeeper to join our client at a charitable organisation in Faversham. This role is a cornerstone of our finance department, offering a chance to significantly contribute to our charitable efforts. Prior experience in the charity sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
Day-to-day of the role:- Maintain precise financial records and document transactions.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to analyse financial data and compile reports.
- Uphold timely and accurate bookkeeping practices.
- Manage ledgers, process invoices, and reconcile bank statements.
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with budgeting processes.
- Oversee payroll functions and ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines.
- Proven bookkeeping experience.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and excellent numerical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Attention to detail with the capability to produce and interpret financial reports.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Charity sector experience is preferred but not essential.
