We seek an experienced cabling engineer to work as part of a team. Previous cabling, electrical and building work experience is essential, and you must take pride in completing work to a high standard.

You will install a variety of data cabling, fibre, phone systems, CCTV, streaming and access control systems in Kent and London. Days generally start about 9.00 am in Faversham before heading to site, so you must live in East Kent, have your own transport and be able to drive.

There is also an opportunity for a less-experienced trainee cabler.

The Cabling Engineer job

  • To install low-voltage data and telephone cabling
  • Installing wall and floor cabinets and containment to house cabling
  • Forming new routes through walls, ceilings and other structures
  • Installing cables in containment, loft spaces, wall and ceiling voids, risers and ducts.
  • Installing cables externally on overhead catenary wires and in underground ducts.
  • Terminate, test and label cables and outlets
  • Mark up site plans and keep accurate records
  • Liaise with and work around customers, respecting their environments
  • Travel to site in cars, vans, trains and (occasionally) planes
  • Load/ unload tools and materials from vehicles
  • Make good and tidy up

Working environments

The company works in offices, factories, schools and colleges, campuses, churches and many other sites.
