I am seeking a Senior Internal Communications Executive for a thriving organisation near Faversham. As Senior Internal Communications Executive you will be responsible for driving their values and strategic direction across internal departments through impactful internal communications. Working within a wider communications team, this role is pivotal in increasing engagement, collaboration, and information sharing in a strategic and targeted way.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and send organisational, strategic, and high-level internal communications that reflect values and focus on the audience.

  • Establish a system for handling internal communications through the PR and Communications Executive.

  • Utilise a variety of platforms to create regular and targeted communications for colleagues and volunteers in an engaging and informative manner.

  • Collaborate with VSD and HR to create structured volunteer and staff journeys.

  • Use feedback from staff and volunteers to inform decisions and drive changes aligning with our strategic goals.

  • Empower colleagues to create their own internal communications consistent with our values and tone of voice.

  • Create content for the intranet, volunteer hub, and volunteer Facebook page.

  • Implement an internal communications strategy that meets the needs of all stakeholders and advances strategic objectives.

  • Manage and report on KPIs and objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage competing workloads and prioritise effectively.

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a knack for giving and receiving constructive feedback.

  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

  • Ability to travel across the region; a full driving licence or access to reliable public transport is essential.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a communications role.

  • Experience using a range of communication tools and channels, including email platforms like Dot Digital.
