We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our team. A BRCGS accredited food manufacturer committed to using only the finest GM-free ingredients. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity, quality, and authenticity of our award-winning products. The Quality Manager will provide specialised insights and essential guidance on all technical and quality matters, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide specialist expertise and guidance to support the food safety culture 
  • Ensure all products comply with customer specifications and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance with the latest BRCGS standard and HACCP plans.
  • Facilitate and manage technical audits, including GMP audits, contributing to the continuous improvement of site standards.
  • Manage investigations, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Lead the HACCP Team and collaborate with the Sales and New Product Development (NPD) Teams to ensure product specifications are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of food safety and quality.
  • Manage annual product traceability, withdrawal, and recall testing.
  • Manage the periodic calibration of measuring equipment and complete allergen rapid testing, ensuring samples and swabs are sent to the lab within agreed timeframes.
  • Contribute as part of the management team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quality Management role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Relevant qualification in food science or a related field.
  • HACCP Level 4 Food Safety qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to engage and develop others.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • High standards of numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail.
  • Flexible with a hands-on approach and excellent collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work at pace and manage multiple deadlines.
