Labour Hire are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker for a school in FAVERSHAM.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the general upkeep, security, and maintenance of the premises, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and general handyman tasks.
  • Ensure the premises are clean, tidy, and well-maintained, including communal areas, gardens, and exterior spaces.
  • Conduct regular inspections and report any health and safety issues or required repairs.
  • Oversee security measures, including locking and unlocking the premises, monitoring access, and responding to emergencies.
  • Assist with setting up rooms and facilities for meetings or events as required.
  • Maintain stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Liaise with contractors and service providers when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or facilities role is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Basic handyman skills (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or painting).
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A reliable and flexible approach to work.
