Labour Hire are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker for a school in FAVERSHAM.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the general upkeep, security, and maintenance of the premises, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and general handyman tasks.
- Ensure the premises are clean, tidy, and well-maintained, including communal areas, gardens, and exterior spaces.
- Conduct regular inspections and report any health and safety issues or required repairs.
- Oversee security measures, including locking and unlocking the premises, monitoring access, and responding to emergencies.
- Assist with setting up rooms and facilities for meetings or events as required.
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Liaise with contractors and service providers when necessary.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or facilities role is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS
- Basic handyman skills (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or painting).
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A reliable and flexible approach to work.
