Our client, a leading company in Felixstowe, are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant.This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to make a key contribution in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:

Oversee financial accounting operations, including the preparation of monthly and annual accounts.
Prepare and manage financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and international accounting standards.
Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits.
Manage tax calculations, VAT returns, and other regulatory filings.
Provide financial analysis and advice to senior management to aid in decision-making.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements in line with deadlines.
Provide advice on direct and indirect tax matters.
Ensuring necessary and appropriate internal controls are in place throughout the organisation and that these are reviewed on a continuing basis.

Key Skills:

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with relevant post qualification experience.
Previous experience in a financial accounting role
Strong understanding of UK accounting regulations and standards.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
