Credit Controller
  • Annual Salary: To be discussed Flexible depending on experience/qualifications and skills 
  • Location: Felixstowe
  • Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, Office-based
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join our team in Felixstowe. This role involves managing a large ledger and working within a global company with over 250 employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining effective credit control systems, chasing payments, and ensuring financial stability within the company.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Chasing payments via email and telephone communications to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Posting cash allocations accurately and efficiently.
  • Setting up new accounts and conducting thorough credit checks.
  • Performing risk assessments to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers.
  • Liaising with the Financial Manager (FM) to discuss and resolve financial discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Collaborating with other departments across global offices to ensure consistency in financial practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of credit control procedures and financial policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage a large ledger and handle multiple accounts efficiently.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
