We are seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join our team in Felixstowe. This role involves managing a large ledger and working within a global company with over 250 employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining effective credit control systems, chasing payments, and ensuring financial stability within the company.
Day-to-day of the role:- Chasing payments via email and telephone communications to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Posting cash allocations accurately and efficiently.
- Setting up new accounts and conducting thorough credit checks.
- Performing risk assessments to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers.
- Liaising with the Financial Manager (FM) to discuss and resolve financial discrepancies and issues.
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Collaborating with other departments across global offices to ensure consistency in financial practices.
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role.
- Strong understanding of credit control procedures and financial policies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage a large ledger and handle multiple accounts efficiently.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
