We seek a motivated and dynamic Commercial Freight Assistant to join our client's team in Felixstowe. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about marketing, PR, and social media, with a preference for those with an understanding of the freight industry. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our business and helping to drive growth within the remote services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Souring costs for freight forwarding activities, across all modes of freight.
- Assist in creating and executing marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and support business development.
- Manage and develop social media channels, creating engaging content to increase audience interaction and promote company services.
- Conduct research to identify trends, competitors, and market opportunities, providing insights to improve strategy.
- Work closely with senior teams to support commercial activities and enhance service offerings.
- Booking travel arrangements for senior management
- Managing visa requirements
- Provide administrative support, including event coordination, reporting, and data entry.
Requirements:
- Experience in marketing, PR, and social media management.
- Basic knowledge of the freight industry.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Creative, with an eye for detail and content design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
- A self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ideally, previous experience in a commercial or assistant role.
