The Role:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dynamic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Felixstowe. In this rewarding role, you will work alongside experienced teachers to provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs. Your role will be crucial in creating an engaging and nurturing learning environment that fosters each child’s individual growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs in the classroom and during activities.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide personal care and support where necessary.
- Facilitate communication and interaction between students and peers.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to adapt resources and learning activities.
- Promote positive behavior and encourage social skills development.
- Monitor and track student progress and report findings to the teaching staff.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is preferred.
- A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate, CACHE qualification, or equivalent is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to inspire students.
- A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
- An enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this process).
