Tennial Personnel are seeking a Temporary (which could lead to permanent upon completion of 12 weeks working) a Senior Warehouse Operative to work for our client located in Felixstowe, the purpose of the role as a Senior Warehouse Operative is to assist our clients Warehouse Team Leader with managing the day to day running of the warehouse In line with our clients customer's KPl's/service level agreements as well as health and safety standards. You will also be responsible for deputising in the absence of the Team Leader and ensure staff are aware of the expectations from each shift and to meet specific objectives set by the Team Leader. Working day shifts 6.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday , 45 hours each week you will communicate and interface with all employees at all levels, you will be dealing with hauliers. Main responsibilities will include, Ensure adherence to our clients health and safety protocol, motivating and engaging with the warehouse operatives/ Stock Control and Admin Teams. , assisting in other areas of the operation which are commensurate to your capabilities and skills were deemed necessary, you will adhere to our clients rules, agreements, policies and procedures, ensure healthy working relationships are maintained at all times, you will have a pro-active approach at all times , & Maintain efficiently functioning condition and to facilitate correct and timely movements into and out of the warehouse environment , you will Ensure adherence to the correct procedures for receiving goods, stock storage, stock rotation and the processing of orders for dispatching goods , Ensure materials are stored correctly in order to minimise stock losses as a result of material deterioration or physical damage ,Ensure that all unplanned absences (e.g. sickness) are reported to the Team Leader in accordance to the absence reporting procedure , Ensure punctuality at all times, advising your Line Manager when you are unable to adhere to shift pattern/ meeting attendance .Advise if you do not have sufficient resources available to enable completion of daily tasks. Support the wider team by continuously improving your skills and knowledge by feeding back to your Team Leader any training/mentoring which would assist with your day-to-day duties. Ensure the safe keeping for all our clients assets under your control. Which includes, Security pass , RDT/truck mounted units , Uniform/PPE , Canteen facility , Personal locker and key , MHE , site equipment (dock doors, levellers etc.) you will ideally hold a full Counterbalance Fork Lift Licence and experience within warehousing .. in the first instance please send a full cv to or call 01473 565292 for an informal chat.
