We are delighted to be working on behalf of one of the longest-established law firms in East Anglia, who are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary within their friendly Wills & Probate team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven Legal Secretarial experience gained from a professional law firm, with a good understanding of Wills & Probate
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly using Microsoft Office, document management and legal document production software
  • Organised with a flexible approach to work
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Audio typing skills (desirable)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing effective and efficient secretarial support to the Wills & Probate team
  • Keeping Records up to date and general filing (both paper & electronic documents).
  • Archiving Files.
  • Typing up Legal Documents, including transcribing audio dictation, correspondence, emails, and all other like documents.
  • Answering the phone and making a documented record.
  • Organising diaries and making appointments for fee earner(s).
  • Receiving "On Account" payments from Clients and referring these to accounts department.
  • Informing accounts department of any Client changes.
  • Generally finalising matters and obtain edger printouts before closing file.
  • Covering reception as and when required.
