MEM Recruitment is recruiting a Shift Supervisor tojoin our team based at Felixstowe.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible an areas of the Multi client, Multi Temperature Warehouse and its internal operations. Providing support to the Operation Manager and ensuring compliance

Working closely with H&S department to ensure best practice is followed and proactively managing safely, ensuring shift operates to the agreed standards

The individual will need to be able to manage Supervisors ensuring the work is completed to the highest standard, reviewing KPIs and ensuring the appropriate use of resources. Assisting Operations Manager to start up the new customers to the agreed timelines and step up to cover operations manager when required

To ensure and review that Warehouse operations, processes and procedures are efficient and cost-effective in order to provide the best service for our customers and to maximize revenues.

Build & Manage relationship with internal and external stakeholders through understanding their requirements.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining and implementing effective processes & procedures to improve inventory records accuracy while offering input to continuous improvement
  • Ensuring that the onboarding plan of new customers are implemented, and is clearly documented and communicated to the team
    • Ensuring that Key performance Indicators are met and reviewed
    • Supporting Supervisors and ensuring that they have all the skills and tolls to achieve set targets
    • Ensuring comprehensive, accurate and useful data collection for all aspects of warehouse activity where requested
    • Reviewing weekly, accurate activity and productivity reports
    • Suggest and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
    • Ensuring that health, safety & quality legislation is complied with
    • Ensuring quality assurance measures are in place and adhered to
    • Managing and developing warehouse supervisors and warehouse operatives
    • Awareness of ISO, DQMP and BRC accreditations, ensuring compliance (training provided)
    • Collating and submitting accurate data
    • Carrying out investigations and disciplinaries in line with companies guidelines
    • Responsible for a dedicated area of the warehouse
