MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Accounts Assistant for a well-respected Haulage company in Felixstowe. As an Accounts Assistant you will take owndership of the weekly and monthly payrolls, as well playing an integral part in supporting with month end duties.
- Calculation and processing of weekly and monthly payroll runs, using Sage Payroll.
- Assist in preparation of the monthly management accounts through the posting of journals and the preparation of month end schedules.
- Support other Finance Team functions such as VAT returns and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports to support the Finance Team.
- Support the external audit process through responding to queries and preparing schedules.
- Maintain organised records of all financial transactions and documentation.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience of processing payroll
- Experience using a finance system
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to process information systematically.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work to a deadline.
