Transport Planner - Container Transport
Transport Planner required! My client is a transport, logistics, container, and warehouse specialist, based in Felixstowe, providing their customers with end-to-end logistics solutions. Due to company growth, they are looking for a transport planner with port, container, or traffic experience to join their team.
Transport Planner - Responsibilities
- Be able to operate systems such as Destin8, Port VBS systems.
- Plan and schedule routes for the fleet and container deliveries/pickups.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and other departments, ensuring all operations are running smoothly.
- Oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring legal compliances are met.
- Provide regular updates to customers regarding their deliveries, and dealing with any issues that may arise e.g. route changes.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
- Analyse transport costs, identify any opportunities for cost savings.
Transport Planner - Requirements
- Be able to operate systems such as Destin8, Port VBS systems.
- Previous transport planning experience is required.
- Experience in ports, containers, or distribution.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers, drivers, and colleagues.
Remuneration
- Monday-Friday
- Salary - £35,000 - £50,000
- Company pension scheme
