We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading container haulage company based in Felixstowe for an experienced Container Traffic Operator. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a highly regarded business who can offer a competitive salary and career prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routing vehicles.
- Responsible for an allocation of tramper and day drivers.
- Planning deliveries in a timely manner.
- Build strong relationships with drivers and customers.
- Ensure drivers are always planned within their legal working hours.
Previous Skills & Experience:
- 3 years previous experience in planning and routing HGV’s.
- Knowledge of drivers hours regulations.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure.
- Transport Manager CPC holder, ideal but not essential.
- Commercially aware.
