Sonic Summary

A returning client in the shipping/logistics industry is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support their Finance Manager.
The role requires a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience and proficiency in MS Systems, particularly Excel.
Key responsibilities include credit control, bank reconciliations, and preparation of monthly management reports.
The position offers a salary range of £29,000 to £33,000.
Candidates with experience in Freight Forwarding Logistics and familiarity with Sage Line 50 will have an advantage.

A returning client of ours in the shipping/logistics industry is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant for their team reporting into the Finance Manager. As Assistant Accountant you wil be number two to the Finance Manager and your duties and responsibilities includes:- • Credit control • Supplier accounts reconciliations• Producing weekly aged debtor reports• Bank payments and posting bank receipts • Bank reconciliations • Preparation of monthly management reports including P&L• HMRC - CDS reconciliations• Profit Share analysis as required• Intercompany reconciliation • Month end checks and ad hoc reports and analysis• Supporting the Finance Manager with analysis and reporting

KEY EXPERIENCE:• AAT Qualified / ACCA / CIMA Part Qualified or similar accounting degree• Proficient with MS Systems including Excel (V Look-up & Pivot Table)• 3 years plus accounting experience is required• Experience with Sage Line 50 is an advantage• Experience with Boxtop is an advantage• Strong personality and can handle month-end deadlines

Experience in Freight Forwarding Logistics is essential, Strong Credit Control, Pro-active, Organised, P&L reporting, Sage 50 experience, Box Top.

Monday – Friday. Salary £29k - £33k
