We are actively recruiting for an Accounts Payable clerk known for their commitment to excellence and quality in the construction industry. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team in Feltham.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
- Location: Feltham
- Contract Type: Temporary (with the possibility of going permanent for the right candidate)
- Contract Length: 6 months
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hourly Rate: £14 - £16 DOE
What You'll Do:As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing and reviewing invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Coding and entering invoices into the accounting system.
- Preparing and processing electronic transfers and payments.
- Reconciling accounts payable transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintaining vendor files and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date.
- Assisting with month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Communicating with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For:To thrive in this role, you should have
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of construction industry practises and terminology.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
