Finance Manager (Qualified with 3 years PQE) Salary: £55-65k   Excellent company benefits package available.

A returning client of ours in the manufacturing industry is currently looking for a dedicated, qualified Finance Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing comprehensive financial reports, managing the accounting team (1-2), and ensuring our financial operations align with statutory regulations.

Main responsibilities:
  • Oversee the production of group financial statements, including consolidations, profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, and monthly management accounts.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful commentaries.
  • Supervise the Management Accounts for the company, ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss analysis.
  • Manage the balance sheet review process and partner with department heads to establish and report on effective KPIs.
  • Prepare the annual budget and periodic forecasts, including the consolidation of these reports for the group.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of internal procedures and carry out continuous improvements of accounting practices to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure statutory compliance, manage the annual audit, and liaise with external auditors.
  • Lead the development and documentation of ERP system procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with subsidiaries and oversee VAT and payroll submissions for multiple regions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with at least 3 years post qualification experience
  • Demonstrable experience in financial management and accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Expertise in balance sheet management and variance analysis.
  • Skilled in business partnering and KPI development.
  • Proficient in the use of ERP systems and committed to process improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with statutory compliance requirements and audit management.
  • Experience in managing VAT and payroll for international operations is essential.
  • Experience from within the manufacturing industry is an advantage but not necessary
