Import Co-Ordinator

JOB SUMMARYYou will be responsible for coordinating the flow of goods into the UK and Channel Islands. You will ensure that all parties involved in a transaction are kept informed about its status, and work to resolve any issues that may arise during transit.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESArranging and tracking shipments. Communicating with clients / agents for shipping details such as pickup times, shipping method, delivery date, and any special requirements. Scheduling shipment dates and times to meet customer needs. Preparing and reviewing shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices. Coordinating the transportation of goods with trusted hauliers / own transportation team. Communicating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other transportation providers to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and within budget. Determine the most efficient transportation routes and methods. Monitor shipments for compliance with regulations and international trade laws specifically in relation to pharmaceuticals. Liaising with HMRC / managing customs clearance procedures. preparing reports on shipping costs and delivery times. Ensuring compliance with import regulations, including obtaining necessary licenses and permits from importers. Keeping up to date with changes in trade laws and regulations. Resolving any issues that arise during the import process, such as customs delays or shipment errors. Ensuring time critical and temperature-controlled cargo is stored at the correct temperature at both airline and within our own facility.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSGood communication skills, both written and verbal.Sequoia CDS / any other customs software knowledge an advantageAttention to detail.

This role is suitable for someone with a years Import experience OR a trainee who has superb interpersonal, organisational and computer skills as well as lots of enthusiasm and motivation and happy to work full time in an office environment.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm (OFFICE BASED ONLY)

Salary - £24 - 27.000P.A.
