Right Now Group are looking for a Sea Freight Import Clerk to join our client in the Feltham Area. Our client are a dynamic and rapidly growing logistics firm specialising in global freight forwarding and supply chain solutions.
The Sea freight Clerk will have a strong background in sea freight logistics, particularly in import operations. This role requires expertise in coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
Responsibilities of a Sea freight Import Clerk:
- Manage end-to-end import processes for sea freight shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- You will also be assisting with Road Freight Shipments.
- Coordinate with international suppliers, carriers, and agents to secure bookings and negotiate freight rates.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and other government agencies' requirements.
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Handle shipment discrepancies and resolve any issues related to customs clearance or delivery delays.
- Must be able to complete Sea Freight and Road Freight Entries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and distribution teams to optimise logistics and inventory management.
The Successful Sea Freight Import Clerk:
- Proven experience in sea freight imports, with a strong understanding of international shipping procedures and regulations.
- Familiarity with customs clearance processes and documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Experience using Boxtop & ASM Sequoia would be ideal.

Shift: Monday - Friday Hours: 09:00 - 17:30 Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 (Depending on experience) SUITABLE CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED WITHIN 24 HOURS
