Atrium Hotel Heathrow has a new and exciting opportunity for an Assistant Stock Controller. Just one stop from Heathrow Airport, Atrium Hotel Heathrow is an urban retreat offering 570 ultra chic bedrooms with delectable culinary offerings through multiple Food & Beverage outlets, sizeable event spaces and exquisite wellness like swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and the fitness centre.

About the Role

The Assistant Food and Beverage Controller will manage the financial aspects of food and beverage operations across multiple properties. This includes overseeing stock levels, performing stock counts, ensuring cost control, and providing accurate financial reporting. The role involves frequent visits to various properties to conduct inventory counts and support the overall management of the food and beverage departments at these locations. The role will be based at Atrium Hotel Heathrow and will involve managing food and beverage stock control for Atrium Hotel as well as three other properties within the same hotel group.

Duties

  • Checking food and beverage stock levels regularly
  • Completing the required paperwork when ordering stock and keeping record of all stock being ordered as per company policy
  • Establish and maintain a database for food and beverage inventory stock including up-to-date pricing Materials Control
  • Comparing items received against items ordered
  • Perform regular stock audits at each property, comparing actual stock levels with recorded levels in the system.
  • Implementing or improving processes and procedures
  • Compiling daily reports and addressing inventory discrepancies
  • Maintaining records of pricing, purchases and other relevant information
  • Performing random checks and audits
  • Accurate completion of the month-end workbooks as required (stocks).
  • Efficient and accurate running of month end procedures, reconciliation of all stock control processes and reporting.
  • Perform spot checks on all outlets throughout the month.
  • Assist management in menu costing in order to establish menu item sale prices
  • Prepare all hotel costs on a monthly basis Journals
  • Prepare all food & beverage costs per outlet on a monthly basis
  • Monitor vendors for through standard purchasing specifications
  • Ensures all approved orders are placed with the relevant suppliers Store Items
  • Assist in monthly or quarterly inventories as needed for all the Hotels
  • Update Menu items in the Micros and Epos System as required
  • Will require visits to the other 03 properties

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a similar role within finance or accounting with hotels.
  • Strong knowledge of Inventory Management System and practices, particularly in inventory management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to various properties.

Skills and requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a food and beverage or hospitality setting, particularly managing stocks across multiple locations, is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the hotel
  • Constantly improve knowledge and show a desire to learn, attend companys trainings
  • Take a responsible approach towards timekeeping and attendance to ensure the department runs efficiently, and assist in the event of absence cover
  • Maintain high levels of enthusiasm and commitment to every task undertaken
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in English Language is strongly preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to various properties.
  • Ability to analyze and report financial data accurately across multiple locations.
