We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Operation Agent to start their career with an established Freight Forwarder.
The role is working with one of the forwarders established Clients and working closely with the Warehouse team. Training will be given in all the below.
Role Involves:
- Receiving daily orders by email and liaising with the warehouse for picking and packing of the orders. (where necessary you may support the team with picking /packing)
- Process orders from start to finish - most same day, creating to scanning of completed jobs.
- Booking shipments / prepare all paperwork with Courier on daily basis.
- Ensure POD is provided for each delivery & following up with courier.
- Completing daily report for individual customers.
- Weekly stock reconciliation for customers
- Receiving and putting away of customer stock with the warehouse team.
- Liaising with customers.
- Training in Air Freight Operations / Compliance.
We are looking for a flexible individual who is happy to support in all areas when needed.
Good Customer service / IT skills and a keen interest to join the freight forwarding industry.
This role is a good scope to develop at a later stage, client is happy to support with any additional training courses
Hours Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Salary £24K raising to £26K after 6 months’ probation (subject to performance.)
