Job Title: Airfreight Import Supervisor

Role and Responsibilities:
- Supervise all airfreight operations from start to finish with a hands-on approach.
- Create and maintain customer standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Understand the financial aspects of each job file within your remit.
- Deliver accurate and timely paperwork for import documentation.
- Demonstrate commercial acumen and understand the profit and loss (P&L) of each job.
- Ensure timely and accurate freighting and invoicing.
- Manage operational and financial reports, escalating anomalies appropriately.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, airlines, and overseas partners/agents.
Person Specification:
- Solid experience in airfreight imports; export knowledge is beneficial.
- Familiarity with handling air movements from start to finish.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for managing client/customer and carrier relationships.
- Experience overseeing staff in high-pressure environments, with the ability to remain calm and motivate others.
- Able to work a weekend overtime rota: Four hours of overtime on a Saturday or Sunday, working from home, typically once every four weeks.
- Knowledge and experience of customs is desirable.
- Strong work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Experience with Cargowise is highly beneficial.
