Do you have previous Production Controller or Demand Planner experience? Are you familiar with supply chain and procurement processes within the production or manufacturing fields?

I am recruiting for a Demand/Production Controller for a repeat client in the Feltham area, previous winners of the 'Company of the Year' award for two consecutive years in a row! My client is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing industry, specialising in filtration and separation equipment. The Demand/Production Controller will lead and direct the team with a key focus on output and on-time delivery of customer orders through different department. This is a permanent, office-based position working from Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week with a 1-hour lunch break and flexi-working options.

Main duties: 

  • Act as a bridge between the production office and the factory in relation to the procurement of parts with accurate recording of material requisitions, drawings and planning issues, ensuring that delivery dates are met on time. 
  • Liaising closely with colleagues in various departments including Procurement, Stock Control, Production, Costing, Engineering, Quality & Manufacturing.
  • Schedule works orders based on supply chain priority and availability of labour. Assist with setting and agreeing delivery sates.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use Excel, ERP & other systems, and understanding of CAD's to manage works orders, job progress, and part shortages.
  • Contribute to production planning meetings and follow-up on actions raised, keeping appropriate parties informed of progress.
  • Assist the Production Manager with other day-to-day operations.

Key requirements: 

  • Strong production planning/coordinating experience, incl. managing schedules, planning resources & procuring goods, within the supply chain sector.
  • Demand/Production Planner experience, working within the shop environment and office.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical/CAD drawings. 
  • Computer literate and experience using ERP's, Outlook and Excel.
  • Stock management, procurement and cost/demand planning experience would be ideal.
