Permanent role Monday - Friday (Hybrid - Home/Office/Site)

£57,000 - £62,000 per annum.

Responsibility for the technical compliance of the Electrical and Gas services within the residential services department. The Operational Delivery of the workstreams does not constitute part of this role, but there will be dotted line responsibility for all technical trades to ensure that there is a high level of confidence in our compliance with current legislation and best practice.

Main Responsibilities; 

To be the Principal Duty Holder for the NIC EIC electrical registration.

Take ownership of the registrations, inspections, audits and any other duties arising.

To ensure that all technical trade operatives hold the necessary qualifications and training.

To audit and check that all technical trades are working in accordance with the current legislation and best practice, in conjunction with the supervisors.

To ensure that all employed, agency and subcontract gas engineers are registered with Gas Safe.

Keep up to date with any changes in legislation and regulations and cascade this information to technical staff through toolbox talk and other mediums.

Working with others, ensure that there are sufficient technical resources to meet the levels of demand across all workstreams.

To liaise, communicate and work with other stakeholders, including but not limited to: client representatives, suppliers, contractors, colleagues, residents and others as required.

Health and Safety Management

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

You will need to hold the following qualifications;

C&G 2382 18th Edition Course

City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2, or NVQ Level 3 including AM2, or equivalent.

C&G 2391 or equivalent (testing and inspection)

Current IOSH / Managing safely qualification.

Full, clean driving licence

Good level of numeracy, literacy, written, oral and communication skills 

Strong IT skills 

Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations

Application of Risk Assessments / Method Statements

Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND UNDERSTANDING

Essential

Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations

Working knowledge of Asbestos policy & procedures

Application of Risk Assessments / Method Statements

Desirable

IOSH Managing Safety Or SMSTS

Essential

Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams.

Project management and delivery experience.

Working knowledge of Schedule of Rates.

To write and present operational and commercial reports to internal and external audiences.

To be able read, understand and interpret risk assessments and method statements.

To be able to meet pre-determined deadlines and performance targets.

PERSONAL SKILLS

Ability to deal sympathetically with residents and leaseholders.

Able to use judgement and discretion.
