About the Role
As the Service Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the Vintage Day Provision Service three days a week (Monday to Wednesday) and handle administrative tasks for the Charity two days a week (Thursday and Friday).
The role involves ensuring the well-being of up to 20 elderly residents daily, coordinating transport, meals, and activities, and managing a team of support workers and volunteers. You will also handle various administrative duties, requiring excellent IT skills and the ability to produce detailed reports.
Working hours:
- The Service Manager role is a full-time position (35 hours per week)
- 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday. Wednesday) will be managing our Vintage Day Provision Service.
- 2 days per week (Thursday, Friday) will be completing administration tasks for the Charity.
The Ideal Candidate
- Background in care management
- Understanding of issues affecting older people
- Knowledge of health and social care policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Experience in managing staff and volunteers
- Proficient in IT, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Professional demeanour
- Ability to deal sympathetically with elderly issues
- Confidence in managing security measures for attendees
