MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- Print manifest and labels for the warehouse.
- Make sure all import freight has labels and manifest so the freight can be booked in to the warehouse.
- Allocate drivers imports and exports from and to airlines.
- Make sure all drivers are allocated exports and imports making sure all cut off are made and no storage charge are applied to any freight.
- Deal with emails and phone calls.
- Make sure all emails have been answered and any issues resolved. Deal with phone calls from driver with any issues they may be having at the airline sheds.
- Work with the import gateway and export departments.
- You have to make sure you work with all the departments to get all jobs completed without any issues.
- Work closely with ERTs department.
- Make sure all paper work and labels go correct to the Erts department and have them sign for freight offloaded by the drives.
- Make sure the system is update to date.
- Make sure all pods are updated on the system for all imports and exports.
- Collect and return equipment.
- Collect and equipment from the airlines that are required for exports and return any equipment that has come from imports.
- Keep in contact with airline sends over any issues the drivers may be having with imports and exports. Then communicate these issues to the relevant departments/people.
