A secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join their team as soon as possible. You will play a key role in ensuring that students maintain excellent attendance and support the school in upholding attendance policies.

Role expectation:

  • Monitor and track student attendance and punctuality on a daily basis.
  • Liaise with parents, guardians, and external agencies to address attendance issues.
  • Work closely with pastoral staff to support students with poor attendance.
  • Keep accurate records of attendance and prepare reports for senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and school policies related to attendance.
  • Engage with students, encouraging a positive attitude towards attendance.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school or administrative role is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with parents and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy school environment.
  • Excellent IT and organisational skills, with an eye for detail.
  • A clean and current enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
