Hello Education are working with a local college who are looking to hire a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified professional to take on the role of Curriculum Leader in Health (Higher Education) on a full time permanent basis


The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Higher Education Provision across the Health provision.


The role also includes administrative responsibilities to ensure effective department management. A key focus will be to drive Higher Education recruitment in line with Newcastle College University Centre KPI’s whilst ensuring the programme teams are supported to achieve their goals.

The ideal candidate will have :-

  • A strong vocational background within the Health or Social Care sector with proven experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Hold an honours degree (Level 6) or an industry-recognised qualification in Health or Social Care or a related field.
  • Have a post-16 teaching qualification or a commitment to achieving this within an agreed timeframe.
  • Level 2 English and maths qualifications are essential, or you must be willing to attain them.
  • A proven track record of leading and managing teams to achieve KPI’s with an emphasis on high quality higher education provision


Experience in successful programme leadership within higher education, is desirable, as is familiarity with current industry practices. Candidates should also have proven success in designing and implementing teaching strategies that support higher education students, including those with additional needs or barriers to learning. Strong organisational skills, the ability to self-manage workload, and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in IT, including the use of virtual learning environments. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet curriculum demands is also required.
