Hello Education are working with a local College who requires a dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified person to take on the role of Lecturer in Advanced Technical Lecturer – Electrical on a full time permanent basis to start asap


The main responsibilities of this role are :-

  • the delivery and assessment of high-quality learning programmes in Electrical Installations or Electrotechnical across a range of levels of further education, and / or apprenticeship or T -level provision.
  • undertaking a range of programme leadership, tutorial and programme administration duties.
  • plan and prepare sessions.
  • complete learning and assessment paperwork

 

The ideal candidate will:-

  • Be suitably qualified to the industry-and recognised standard in relevant built environment electrical installation.
  • Have inspection and testing qualifications at L3 minimum.
  • AM2 or similar is also required.
  • Hold a post-16 teaching qualification
  • English and maths qualifications at level 2 or be willing to achieve
  • Experience of effective programme leadership in FE, HE and / or Apprenticeships
  • Have a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service

This post requires a strong background in Electrical installation and the Built Environment and the candidate must have proven track record of professional / vocational expertise Electrical installation Domestic and Commercial.


As with all teaching roles the candidate is expected to be able to plan and prepare sessions and complete learning and assessment paperwork. Candidates will be provided with learning materials and will be expected to be able to develop and build form the baseline.


An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to demand.
