The School and Role

A large Primary School situated in Newcastle Upon Tyne are seeking to employ a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their enthusiastic team on a Part-time basis. The successful candidate will be working three days per week, supporting in a Year 1 class. This role will include a mix of general, small group and 1:1 support working alongside the class teacher and other support members of staff. This is a long-term role with potential to turn permanent.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will:
- Preferably have experience of working with Key Stage 1.
- Preferably delivered Read, Write, Inc Phonics.
- Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or above.
- Have an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have a friendly and enthusiastic personality.
- Have an ability to offer differentiated learning and support pupils with SEND.
