REED are exclusively recruiting for a BOOKKEEPER for an established Accountancy Practice based near Ferndown. This opportunity is offered on a hybrid basis, Full Time hours, supporting existing clients and the finance team.
You should have current experience as a Bookkeeper, dealing with debits and credits, Balance Sheet accounts, Reconciliations, CIS Returns and VAT. If you are currently a self employed Bookkeeper and would like to work on a Permanent contract within an established firm please touch base.

BOOKKEEPER (Hybrid) Full Time preference
Ferndown area
Salary up to £30,000 per annum
Duties
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
- Completing VAT returns
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Accountant of errors
- Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies
- Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
- Preparing employee wages
- Managing employee expense claims
- Helping the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
