An Introduction to our client and the role

Our client is a fast-paced, innovative and creative company who services the FMCG sector. The organisation continues to see incredible growth and as such, they are needing to bring a new Copywriter on board to join their wonderfully innovative team.

The Copywriter is responsible for coordinating the translation process across various product touchpoints, including packaging, instruction sheets, and some marketing materials. This individual will maintain the internal copywriting for both product and marketing purposes to the standards set by the Senior Creative Copywriter, to ensure that products are accurately and appealingly represented across global markets. The role also involves working closely with external translation agencies or freelancers, and ensuring that all translations are accurate, timely, and aligned with brand standards.

Responsibilities of the Copywriter

  • Adhering to the copy approval process, liaising with buyers on copy requirements
  • Coordinating the end-to-end translation process for product packaging, instruction sheets, and marketing copy.
  • Researching existing product translations in the market to expedite the process and ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinating with internal teams (designers, product managers, compliance teams) to ensure all copy and translations meet company standards.
  • Managing external stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met, and overseeing critical paths for translation delivery.
  • Developing compelling copy for marketing materials, including product USPs, and ensuring consistency across customer websites and other platforms.
  • Proactively managing how translations are applied to packaging and working with design teams to ensure seamless integration.

Minimum Skills and Experience Required

  • Relevant degree, with a grade 2:2 or above
  • Highly organised with great time management
  • Experience working with products, FMCG preferred
