RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER REQUIRED - BASED WITHIN RETAIL OUTLET - HIGH-VOLUME ENVIRONMENT - BRANDED STYLE - DAY SHIFTS ONLY - NEAR POOLE - UP TO 45,000 STARTING SALARY + RANGE OF BENEFITS

We are assisting in the recruitment of a Restaurant General Manager to lead the F&B operation within this large retail outlet. The restaurant trades 7-days per week, between 9am to 5pm (reduced hours on a Sunday) and has over 300 seats.

The food on offer is on a counter service style, freshly cooked with breakfast and lunch service available. This is a well established operation, capable of generating over 3m per annum.

The restaurant is an essential part of the operation and the Restaurant Manager is accountable for all day-to-day operations of the restaurant business. The role includes (but not limited to):


  • Manage the restaurant team (over 80 team members)

  • Maximise the restaurant performance, ensuring full control over sales and loses

  • Take accountability for the restaurant stock-take process, ensuring that accurate records are kept and areas with losses identified and processes put in place to improve

  • Work as part of the senior management team within the overall business, attending regular management meetings

  • Recruit, train and develop employees across the restaurant business (including kitchen operation)

  • Ensure quality control over the restaurant, ensuring all products and presentation of the restaurant are of the highest standards

  • Ensure all company guidelines are adhered to and all company marketing materials are fully utilised


The company are looking for an experienced, high-volume manager with experience at developing and organising a team and can deliver profitable results for the business. The business is particularly interested in individuals who:


  • Has experience in managing large teams

  • Has come from a high-volume commercial / branded environment

  • Has budget and cost control experience

  • Has up-to-date legislation and Health & Safety knowledge
