Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Process Improvement Engineer, working for a highly reputable client located in Ferryhill. Our client are seeking an experienced Process Improvement Engineer to lead the charge in optimising manufacturing processes and boosting efficiency across their sheet metal operations.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, you'll bring the expertise needed to make a tangible impact. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is your opportunity to take ownership of transformative projects and shape the future of our manufacturing capabilities. Focusing on identifying, designing, and implementing enhancements to our processes.

Process Improvement Engineer Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of current manufacturing workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing methodologies, such as Six Sigma, across the facility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and introduce best practices in production.
  • Optimise material flow, equipment utilisation, and production layouts.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by ensuring efficient and scalable production processes.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement projects.
  • Act as a change agent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Process Improvement Engineer Applicants:

  • Highly skilled and motivated professional with a proven track record in process improvement.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, or a related role within a sheet metal or fabrication environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process mapping tools.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD/CAM software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead and influence at all levels.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to identifying and implementing solutions.
  • A commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Salary is £35,000-£40,000. Working Day Shift, Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 12.30pm.
