*Job Overview*

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Mechanical Contractor based in Fla Bourton. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial resources are used efficiently throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control principles and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

*Duties*

- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.

- Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective.

- Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure adherence to budgets.

- Prepare tender documents, contracts, and agreements for procurement processes.

- Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project specifications and costs.

- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify that work is being completed as per specifications.

- Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to the project.

- Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes as they arise during the project lifecycle.

*Requirements*

- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.

- Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost management within the construction industry is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and financial management principles.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Excel, quantity surveying software).

- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
