We Do Group are excited to be partnering with a fast growing, e-commerce, retail business in Fleet to hire a Management Accountant. The right candidate will have a desire to gain more exposure in Budgeting, Forecasting and Analysis as well as still having oversight of the Month End Reporting process!

The role has arisen due to an internal promotion for the current Management Accountant, the group are advocates of moving people internally to enable all round exposure, this business has a big commercial finance function, alongside a strong reporting department.

This role would suit someone who is actively studying and progressing towards the backend of their qualification or someone who is recently qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).

The Role:

As the Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in defining and developing our client's financial reporting capabilities, processes & procedures and control. This is an opportunity to develop a best-in-class finance function to support a growing business.

  • Production of efficient, timely and accurate internal financial reporting
  • Production of weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Support the FP&A team
  • Work closely with the Commercial Finance team on budgeting processes
  • Preparation and posting of month-end journals
  • General ledger& balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide monthly financial information to Group Finance
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Participation in ad-hoc projects
  • Assisting with internal and external audits.
  • Support the Finance Manager with Statutory accounts reporting

The Candidate:

  • Qualified accountant (open to active studiers)
  • Background in financial and management reporting
  • Well-organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong, current technical skills
  • Experience of working with inventory is desirable
  • Experience of improving financial and operational processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Articulate, persuasive, confident, possessing sound intellect; a self-starter with the ability to combine professional rigour with practical business requirements
