We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join my clients finance team on either a full time or part-time basis. This exciting new role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing crucial financial insights to support business decisions.
The Senior Bookkeeper will report directly to the Finance Director, and the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bookkeeping, strong attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Financial records management
- Management of the month-end procedure
- Financial analysis, including the monitoring of trends, variances and the preparation of forecasts and budgets
- Compliance and reporting including the maintenance of financial systems and procedures
Experience required:
- Minimum 5 year's experience in a bookkeeping role
- AAT qualified or studying towards qualification
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software QuickBooks online is required
- Strong Excel proficiency (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) is required
- Experience with VAT returns and tax compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Good communication skills for interaction with various stakeholders
