I currently have a fantastic lab technician opportunity for a local biochemistry or closely related subject (eg. Biology) graduate. This is a temp to perm (will go permanent after completing 3 month temp probation period at a salary equivalent of 25,000 p.a), full-time role, with fantastic progression and learning opportunities.

This will suit a local scientific graduate or junior scientist that is motivated and passionate to work in this field. You would need some experience working with immunoassay, excellent liquid handling skills (the use of pipettes) and familiarity with conducting basic analytical techniques.

The client offers R&D and manufacturing services of the highest quality to the biotech and chemical industries and would like to have you as a part of the team!

Duties include:

  • Execution of immunoassays (including sample preparation, analysis of data, and documentation of performed experiments in laboratory notebook / loose leaf record format, to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards
  • Reporting experiment results to Supervisor
  • Formulation, filtration and dispensing of routine, repeat reagents, in accordance with instructions of manufacturing batch records, under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards
  • Bioconjugation formulations, with procedures documented in laboratory notebook to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards
  • Equipment maintenance (calibration and qualification)

You will need to be confident inside the lab and have strong attention to detail. Any experience of working in an industrial lab setting would be desirable. 

You will need to be able to get to the site daily, therefore, being able to drive would be required as public transport to site is not reliable. Due to the urgency behind this role, successful applicants would need to be within commutable distance and available for start relatively quickly after interviews are conducted.

My client is unable to sponsor for this role, so you must be fully eligible to work in the UK Indefinitely.
